At Narellan Community Congregational Church (Narellan Cong), we place a high value on the word “community”. We are inspired to this by a passage from the Bible, which describes how Christ Jesus gave gifts to local churches in the form of leaders who equip us and build us up together for unity and maturity (Eph 4:11-16). This passage describes local churches as communities of faith, where each member speaks truth and serves one another gladly.
Of course, a group of people do not become such a community through education alone. We become a community in practice. And what better place to practice than around fun and food and music!
At Narellan Cong, we organise and host events for fun and fellowship throughout the year. Some of these events are for the fellowship of our members and friends, while others are for outreach into our neighbourhood. Some are specifically for children, women and men.
Children & Young Families
Specifically for pre-school aged children, we offer a crèche during our Sunday Worship Gatherings and a playgroup on Friday mornings, from 10:00am-12:00pm. The cost is $2 per child. The playgroup has time for free play, a sing-along, crafts, and morning tea. Parents and caregivers have time to catch-up and encourage one another while the children play safely with each other, under everyone’s watchful eye…
To support new parents, we offer the All About Mums programme on Friday mornings, from 10:00 am-12:00 pm.
For children of primary school age, we offer a Sunday School during the Sunday Worship Gathering. The children leave for Sunday School at a designated time.
